Jake Doe

Charisma; those who are born with it have an innate talent to draw strangers in and keep them around with their enchanting personality.

Jake Doe was one of those men who used their charisma for good. Born in the mid-70’s Mr. Doe has experienced all of his important milestones while living in the sunny state of Arizona! He’s a father to two adult children and works as a manager for a technology company. He told me he enjoyed spending his free time with his family, gathering around food and sharing stories. He also loves to go hiking, which is how I came across him, and give himself a moment to reconnect with nature.

After a brief talk, I asked to take a photo of him. He was shy at first but once I explained what it was for he seemed to be more open to it and with the help of his daughter I was able to capture what is easily one of my favorite portraits so far.

I admired his smile. Some men his age have been hardened by the harshness of this world so I complimented him and then followed it up with this question, “What keeps your smile so bright?”
